It is very common to look up to your father and I am no exception. In fact he has changed rather improved so much as a person over the years that it will take me some time to emulate him.
Initially he was fiery and we were afraid of him when he came home. We were really afraid to face him. He appeared to be our mortal enemy. But however that instilled discipline in us. We could not understand his behavior then, but now having a growing up child in my home I understand why he behaved like that. Now he is so co-operative that I feel whether I will be even close to him when I am 60. I doubt it.
There was one thing he never forgot. Hard work was his motto and is his motto. He would help my mother in household chores and would also work outside. Then he would work in the garden in the weekend. The work has kept him fit through the years, and he is still fighting fit. I learnt this trait from my father but not that well, hence am struggling with my health.
Fighting my way out of difficult situations is a trait in which I have grown out my father. Well at least one area I score over him. But overall as a human being it is my Father who has built the person I am today. Good or bad it is a package.
